Step 3: File Form I-140
The U.S. employer files the immigrant petition on your behalf.
Step 4: Visa Availability & Priority Date
Track visa availability through the Visa Bulletin.
Step 5: Apply for Permanent Residency
Inside the U.S.: File Form I-485. Outside the U.S.: Complete DS-260.
Step 6: Biometrics, Interview & Decision
Attend required steps and receive final determination. If approved, you and eligible family members receive Green Cards.
